Elevators are equipped with emergency telephones / intercoms, which are located in each elevator cab. If you become trapped in an elevator, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE DOORS YOURSELF. All elevators have mechanical safety devices that operate in emergency situations, including power failures.
If you should become trapped in an elevator:
- Please press emergency button or use the emergency telephone below the floor indicator buttons.
- This will connect you immediately to a monitoring center.
- Once on the line, please remain calm and answer all questions.
- The monitoring center will dispatch response personnel.
- NEVER ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE DOORS.
- Please be patient and remain calm until help arrives.
